Walking

I did not say anything to time.
I watched its waves progressing and vanishing
over the sand.
I called them a body
And I saw it changing and growing old like me,
As light plays
As it rides the waves of the moment
I know the taste of loneliness in things.
I know a few streets,
Where the oaks slumber
on the shoulders of clouds
And the eagles’ wings weave the sky.
